Porter Academy Art Show
The Special Needs Ministry at Mt Bethel is blessed to host the Porter Academy Student Art Show. Porter Academy is located in Roswell, and serves pre-k through 5th grade students with language based learning disabilities and mild to moderate learning-style differences. All the art has been created by the students, and will be available for purchase during the show with prices between $25 - $30 per piece. In addition, there will be note cards of the illustrations for sale for $10. The proceeds from the show will go to fund the Matthew C. Roberts scholarship fund at Porter Academy.
The children have created amazing pieces, based on a painting by Henri Matisse, endanged sea turtles, and on the use of warm and cool colors. Although the students face many difficulties, their art reflects their ability to recognize beauty, and to create beauty.
Please join us for opening night on Wednesday night, April 30, from 6-8 pm in the B halls, and support Porter Academy and the Matthew C. Roberts scholarship fund. The show will run April 30 through Sunday, May 4th.

I have seen some of the artwork, and they are so impressive! I am going to let me daughter pick out one for me to hang in my office. What a great way to contribute to a wonderful cause while enjoying a creative piece of work every day! J
