Ladies’ Night Out – November 9, 2009
Posted: November 16, 2009
We started off the Christmas season in Women’s Ministry with a beautiful message about forgiveness. This time of year encourages us to forgive others, but did you know that you are commanded to forgive? Matthew 6:14-15, “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins”. Lane Jordan delivered a powerful message with such a sweet spirit and encouraged each one of us to reflect on those that need our forgiveness. She emphasized that forgiveness will not come easily and it will take time, but you will experience tremendous joy through this act of giving your burdens to God.
We all enjoyed a fabulous fall meal prepared by Jan and Cathy. Triumphant, along with Robert McMichael, blessed all of us with praise and worship. Our men servers were the best ever and delivered our meals with unyielding smiles. It was truly an evening that put our hearts, minds and spirits centered on God’s word as we enter this special season.
