Just like we did for the recent Choir Tour and CHARGE retreat, we’re Twittering live from Camp Hope. You can either keep refreshing our twitter page to see the latest updates, or you can get fancy and have the updates sent directly to your cell phone.
Cell reception out here at Rock Eagle is pretty weak, but we’ll post as often as we can!

Our High School choir is on their way to Chicago for their annual tour. They’ll be stopping in various places in Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois on their way. We’ve built a few tools to help highlight their trip and give you frequent status updates.
The first is our Google Earth KML of their trip plan. If you have Google Earth installed, simply load this file and it will highlight all of their stops along the way. If you don’t yet have Google Earth installed, you can download it (for free!) from this site. If you have any problems with it, please post your question in our Technical Help forum and we’ll do our best to help you out.
The next is our Twitter update page for the event. The group will be sending frequent status updates from the road, all of which are immediately posted to their page. We used Twitter for our recent CHARGE retreat with great success and decided to use it again. You can either view the Twitter page for the latest update, or you can have their updates sent directly to your cell phone — very useful for concerned parents.
If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to leave a message in our Technical Help forum, or simply leave a comment on this blog entry.
Thanks!
Mickey
This weekend (May 2-4), 120 4th and 5th graders and 30+ adult leaders will be at Camp Winfield for CHARGE Retreat. CHARGE stands for Christians Having Awesome Recreation and Godly Encounters. Your prayers are appreciated. The kids will check in at Mt. Bethel Friday beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Narthex. They’ll load buses and depart by 4:30 p.m. for North Georgia. The weekend will be CHARGED as the kids play games, worship, have Bible study, eat, pray and learn. Luckily, those of us at home can stay connected by following regular updates from the Retreat. Through the miracle of modern technology, anxious parents, devoted prayer warriors, and even curious by watchers can stay informed with TWITTER. These updates will appear on the CHARGE Twitter page, OR if you want to get updates directly, you can get messages sent to your cell phone.
What an awesome opportunity we have to lift up the CHARGE Retreat in prayer - to pray on behalf of these impressionable children who are encountering God in new and transforming ways. And how fortunate we are to be able to be a stay connected and hear about God’s work at CHARGE.
