St. Philip UMC is a satellite campus of Mt. Bethel UMC in East Cobb. We are working together to grow God's Kingdom.

Check out pictures and a video from our Vacation Bible School.   GODSIGHTING ALERT!

Rejoice in Him! The Lord is near!

I suppose I could wish for Christmas that all of Mt. Bethel’s approximately 9,000 members hang on every word of the St. Philip section of The Action! More realistically, I suspect the actual readership may be a slightly smaller number. Some of you worship at St. Philip. Some of you pray for St. Philip. Some of you support St. Philip directly with your gifts and your service. Some of you were here in the beginning, some stayed on, and some have joined anew. Whoever you are, the One who changed my life knows you by name. As we move into a season of celebration of the day the Word became flesh as part of God’s plan to overcome the problem of sin in our lives, I pray you will rest in His peace. I pray that He will grant you favor and that you will be a blessing to others in His name and for His sake. Because He loved us first. Thank you Jesus for the most wonderful gift of all and praise your Holy Name.

Our fall soccer season is winding down and we look forward the spring for another season of soccer, fellowship and times of devotion for young people in the community. Youth and children remain active with times of fellowship, discipleship and service. Sunday school classes press on toward the goal. Some are taking “the action” outside the walls of the church, knocking on doors and inviting the world to be part of the movement.

Join us for Christmas Eve worship at St. Philip Thursday, December 24 at 7:30 p.m. You don’t want to miss this special time of worship together.

Merry Christmas and may God Bless You!

Your St. Philip Campus Ministry Team

Autumn Activities at St Philip
On World Communion Sunday, the St. Philip campus congregation
welcomed two new members from the local community into the church!
Coming to the church by baptism and profession of faith, these new
members have already blessed the congregation with their presence! All
husbands and wives in the congregation were invited to share in a special
renewal of wedding vows ceremony at the conclusion of the service.
What a blessed day of worship and celebration of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ!

The St. Philip Field of Hope now has two wooden bleachers thanks to
Eagle Scout candidate Stewart Thrash and other volunteers from Boy
Scout Troup 1011. Thank you, Stewart, and everyone involved in the
project for your gift to God for the St. Philip community!
We continue our outreach in the community through sharing the gift of
some small child-sized bicycles. At press time, we have a grant application
pending with the Mt. Bethel consignment sale board requesting funds
to cover helmets to go along with the bicycles. Thank you all and God
bless you!

A number of flood buckets were donated from Mt. Bethel missions ministry.
The St. Philip campus is working with the North Georgia Conference
Flood Relief Call Center to get those buckets into hands that can use them
after the recent flooding. Thank you all for your care, concern and love
of neighbor in the Name of the One who loved us first! Praise the Holy
name of Jesus!

May God bless you and your family!

Bikes and Trikes for Tykes
Through a generous shared donation, St. Philip received a few small-child sized
bicycles and tricycles to be shared with the community. The St. Philip
congregation is using these little wheels as an outreach tool. Congregation
members have been asked to deliver a bike or trike to a family in the local
community as an outreach effort to take the love of Christ outside the walls
of the church. At press time, members have already started responding to
this opportunity to make connections with the community out in the world
outside the church. Thank you and God bless you.
