Grief Support Group

Our Grief Support Groups provide the opportunity to share loss and loneliness with others who are also grieving the loss of a loved one.  Experiencing grief is proof that you are a real, live person; but after the death of a loved one, your family and friends must eventually get back to their lives.  This happens about the time the realization of death sets in.  It is after the funeral when the real work of grief begins.  It is not a three-day process.  Grief is hard work, and recovering from a death can take from a few months to several years.  You cannot escape grief.  You must address it in a healthy manner, or it could linger for an unnecessary amount of time.  One may never get over the loss of someone they loved, but they can learn to cope in their own time.  This is why it is important to be a part of a grief support group.

We offer a concerned, caring group of people who walk together through grief.  One need not be a member of Mt. Bethel to be a part of this group.  For more information, please call the church office at 770/971-2880 or contact Rev. Wil Parker.
