Director/Instructor: Tina Guthrie

Tina began dancing at the age of four. She began her training in Erie, PA. After moving to Georgia she continued her training under the direction of her mother Claire Catrabone. Other favorite ballet instructors of Tina’s were Dorothy Lister of New York’s Joffery Ballet as well as Joseph Levinoff of North Carolina School of the Arts. While attending the University of Georgia, Tina continued her dance training in the Dance Major program, the Young Choreographers series, and at Athens Dance Academy.

She was selected for the Georgette Dance Line, was awarded as a State Talent winner, and toured the United States with Hoctor’s Dance Caravan.

After graduating from UGA, Tina co-directed dance studios with her mother and choreographed numerous award winning competition routines. While many dancers choose performing Tina feels her talent is best used in the classroom.

Choreographing for high schools, churches, and concerts has also been a rewarding part of Tina’s career. In 1999 Tina became a member of Mt. Bethel UMC. She was fortunate to be able to use her talent teaching dance in a Metro area church. She directed this thriving ministry of over 600 students for the past 4 years. Tina is excited about directing this up and coming Performing Arts program at Mt. Bethel UMC. She feels very fortunate to be able to share her talent to glorify God.
