Mt. Bethel Christian Preschool is a ministry of Mt. Bethel U.M.C. We offer a unique educational opportunity for children ages 16 months through five years. Our school provides a stimulating learning environment with a Christ-centered approach.

Curriculum: We use a thematic unit box curriculum for our two, three, four and five year-old classes. The unit boxes are filled with hands-on activities for use in our center-oriented classrooms. These centers include dramatic play, art, manipulatives, science, cooking and blocks. We provide age-appropriate learning activities in pre-reading and pre-math.
Resource teachers provide weekly lessons in music, creative movement and Spanish for the appropriate ages.
To enhance the classroom curriculum, we have regular visits from various resource people in our area. Special programs or field trips are planned each month for our four and five year old students. Three year old students have special programs planned each month beginning in January.
Parent Involvement: Parent involvement is an integral part of the overall success of our program, and our active Parent's Club hosts fund-raising and social events during the year. We welcome parents to visit classrooms, and we consider parents vital partners in our program. Some classes have "computer Moms and Dads" and "story Moms and Dads" who visit on a regular schedule.
Program Information: Mt. Bethel Christian Preschool classes are from 9:30a.m. until 12:30p.m. weekdays. Actual days of attendance vary depending on your child's age.

Discovery Days: We offer an exceptional and creative after-school program called Discovery Days for children three years and older who are potty-trained. The Discovery Days Program is offered daily from 12:30p.m. until 2:30p.m. during the school week. There is an additional charge for this program, and parents must provide lunch for their children. Our Discovery Days teachers and outside resource specialists offer a broad range of developmental and "fun" activities for the children.
Registration: Registration for the following school year occurs each February. Scheduled tours of the preschool facility begin in January. Please call the preschool office in January at (770) 971-6812 to schedule a day and time.
