Jerusalem House is Atlanta’s oldest AIDS housing provider. The Mission of Jerusalem House is to provide safe, supportive homes for homeless individuals and families with children living with AIDS.  We were the first agency in Atlanta to provide permanent housing for those living with AIDS at a time when few embraced homeless people and families, much less those living with AIDS.

Since our first five residents 15 years ago, we have evolved into three programs:
-The Program for Adults (1989) serving 23 single men and women
-The Family Program (1997) serving 12 single mothers and approximately 25 children
-The Scattered Site Program (2002) which serves 32 individuals and approximately 30+ family members through all types of family compositions such as a single father with HIV/AIDS who has custody of his children.

Through these programs, Jerusalem House now provides over 50% of the permanent housing designated for Atlanta’s homeless population with HIV/AIDS.
