Through our Seminars, Forums, Book Review sessions, God In the Arts series, and other special events, The Areopagus provides a unique opportunity for Christians to come together in a trans-denominational setting that is intellectually stimulating, socially engaging, and spiritually edifying.
The founder and president of The Areopagus Christian Study Center is Dr. Jefrey Breshears. For nearly 20 years Dr. Breshears taught history, philosophy and religion at Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, and Reformed Theological Seminary. In the 1980s he was the editor of Crossroads: An Atlanta Christian Forum, and later served as pastor of the Marietta Community Church. Dr. Breshears founded The Areopagus in 2003 and maintains an active teaching schedule lecturing on Christian history, apologetics, spirituality, contemporary cultural issues, and other topics.
