Pipe Organ

The beautiful  Mt. Bethel UMC Sanctuary organ was installed in 2002.  It consists of a custom-made, 5-manual Allen/Moeller console, 90 ranks of Allen Renaissance digital pipe voices, and 30 ranks of REUTER pipes.  The pipe work is gloriously displayed in the organ/handbell loft flanking the Mt. Bethel stained glass window in the Chancel area.  The great/pedal electronic divisions are directly behind the pipe work.  The swell and choir digital divisions are in chambers over the choir area.  There is a boisterous antiphonal digital division encased along the back balcony wall of the sanctuary.  And, there is a unique "angelic strings" digital division encased in the "ring of light" at the top center of the sanctuary.

The pipe divisions include a special "grand choer" and "positiv" division.  In addition, there is a 60-voice Allen midi which can be coupled to any division.  The console was especially designed as the first of it's kind to be on concealed rollers, vs. a visible dolly.  The stop list enables the organist to have 120 stops of varying color for most any type of organ/choral music.

Mr. Ira Pittman has been the organist/music associate for the past eleven years.  He worked in combination with Mr. Jim Ingram of the ALLEN ORGAN STUDIOS of Atlanta to design this wonderful addition to music ministry and worship at Mt. Bethel UMC.
