FAQ

When do Life Groups Meet?

Middle School Life Groups meet on Sunday Nights before Day|One.  Middle School life groups stay on campus. Middle school life groups meet at Mt Bethel and places to meet are set up through the ministry office.

High School life groups are more flexible and meet throughout the week.  You decide upon the day you'd like to meet as a group.

Do I have to provide food or transportation for my small group?

No, you do not have to provide either of these.  But many groups enjoy sharing thoughts over food.  Some leaders provide food for the group and other group members take turns bringing food. This is your decision

Do we have curriculum?

We have curriculum that you can look through.  We do not require you to use a specific curriculum.  But we can provide curriculum if you need it. Yes, we have resources that can be helpful and age appropriate.  You are welcome to use anything we have or find your own.  We just ask that you pass your ideas by us and get any books or curriculum by us for approval before beginning.

Do I choose my own co-leader?

If you have preference of a leader, we can look at putting you together.  Otherwise, you do not have to have a co-leader to apply.  We have can group you with someone based on your needs (I.e.: when you both are available).

Can my child be in my life group?

We strongly recommend that you are not in the same group as your student.  We speak from experience.  One of the goals of small groups is to offer students two additional adults who would invest in their lives who are not their parents.  Also many of our students find it more difficult to open up if they are with their own parent or if they are grouped with their friends parent.  Your understanding of this guideline is much appreciated.
