Vaughn has a passion for sharing Christ’s love with people of all ages. He has served with youth and contemporary worship in Decatur and Huntsville, AL, Columbus, MS and most recently at First United Methodist of Tuscaloosa, AL. He has lead youth and adult conferences at local, state, and international levels in speaking and singing all over the country. These opportunities began in sixth grade when he participated in his first vocal studio sessions. His calling is to lead people into the presence of God in a way that not only gives the opportunity for a saving knowledge of Jesus, but challenges them to a relationship more than a religion and to a testimony more than a title.
He graduated from Anderson University where he received a liberal arts education in Vocal Performance and accounting. He is currently enrolled at Asbury Seminary through the extended learning program to receive his Masters of Divinity. While at Anderson University Vaughn was blessed to sing on some of the “Gaither Homecoming Videos” and do recordings and concerts with the likes of Sandi Patti, Jay Rouse, Randy Vader, Marshall Hall, Don Moen and numerous others. He also toured for the University doing nearly 100 concerts.
He is blessed with a beautiful wife, Cindy, precious daughter, Ellie, handsome son, William and energetic dog Max. His most common statements are: “no one should have more fun than Christians because we have more to be joyful, purposeful, and hopeful about”, and “Our job as Christians is to love people where they are, but never leave them there”. All in all Vaughn’s story is a story that shows, “God uses all things in all people if we are willing to give them to Him for His good”.
