Costa Rica Mission Trip

June 28 - July 5, 2008

Who will we work with: This year our trip will take us to the Barrio, Mexico area in San Jose, Costa Rica. We will be working with the church members of the Monte de los Olivos Church to create a 15 foot extension on the front of the Sanctuary.

What will we do: Our work will consist of pouring cement footers and new flooring. We will also conduct a 4-day vacation bible school with the children of the church.

Why do we want to do this: The Monte de los Olivos Church is growing! The church membership has grown enough over the years that they are bursting at the seams and need more room to worship. Each year the members are so amazed that we would come so far to help their little church! We short-term missionaries are God’s affirmation that He exists. The Vacation Bible School is amazing. Each day it grows bigger as more children hear about it and come. God is reflected back to us in their eyes, as they hear the stories we know and love. Why do we want to do this, because we were told to go… "..and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the Earth." -- Acts 1:8

 What will it cost: The total cost of the trip is $1600.00.

Mt. Bethel members will be supported by the church by covering half of the cost. The balance due from the members is $800.00.
