Vacation Bible School Student Volunteers
June 9-13 and July 7-11, 2008
Students who are rising 7-12 graders are needed to serve as teen helpers for Vacation Bible School. We need nearly 100 students at EACH VBS session. Please complete a form and indicate where you would like to serve.
June 9-13, 2008 - Beach Party! 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
July 7-11, 2008 - Power Lab! 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Available positions:
Crew Leader Assistant - Assist 10-12 kids with an adult leader.
Station Assistant - Help in break out rooms such as Crafts, Recreation, Discovery (Object Lessons), Chadder (Video), or story telling.
We also need buddies for Special Needs kids. If interested, contact Rev. Kim McGarr.
Mandatory training will be June 9 at 11:15 a.m. for the June sessions and July 7 at 8:15 a.m. for the July session.
Volunteer hours will be documented and a certificate will be mailed to each volunteer.
Lunch will be provided for all full week volunteers. All teen volunteers need to agree to the following expectations:
- Demonstrate the principles of the Christian faith in thought, word, and deed as teacher/mentor to the children of VBS.
- Serve as a Christian role model through appropriate dress, positive attitude, and appropriate behavior.
- Attend the training session to learn about the curriculum and specific duties. Training for the June VBS will be June 9 at 11:15 and the training for the July VBS will be July 7 at 8:15.
- Serve for the entire week of VBS unless prior arrangements have been made/approved.
- Be on time each and every day, ready for my assigned duties. All Youth volunteers need to be at the church by 12:15 p.m. for June VBS and 9:15 a.m. for July VBS.
