Safe Sitter Class

“Safe Sitter” is a nationally-recognized babysitter education program brought to Mt. Bethel. It is a high-quality training program that gives young adolescents aged 11-14 the skills to be safe, nurturing babysitters. The competency-based, interactive curriculum was written by a pediatrician and teaches safe and nurturing child care techniques. Teaching methodology includes hands-on manikin practice, small group interaction, role-playing, games, and discussion.
Topics include:
- Injury Prevention
- Basic First Aid
- How to care for a choking infant or child
- Babysitting as a business
- Babysitting ethics
- Personal Safety
- Behavior Management
