Confirmation Retreat

March 12-15, 2009

Here are some details about the retreat:  where we are going, what to bring, emergency phone numbers etc.  If you have any further questions, please call Jon Ponders at 678-560-7441.

Important:  If you need to leave early or arrive late, you must let us know in advance.

Cost:  $150.00-  Make checks payable to Mt. Bethel UMC.  Please put all forms in a envelope and bring them with you to orientation on September 14th.  Scholarships are available if needed.

What to Bring:  Bible, sleeping bag or sheets and blanket, pillow, towel, toiletries (toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc) confortable clothing (appropriate for a church trip), walking shoes, jacket, rain gear, flashlight, watch.

What not to Bring:  Drugs, alchohol, tobacco, lighters, weapons of any kind.  Also we recommend that expensive items such as DVD/CD players, iPods, or cell phones are not brought on the weekend.

Trip Details:

  • Thursday night, March 12 from 7:00-7:30 all luggage (suitcases and sleeping bags) will be loaded.  Please make sure all items are clearly marked with your student’s name.  If necessary they may bring one very small carry-on bag and pillow on the bus on Friday.
  • Friday night, March 13 @6:00-  Parents and students meet in the Chancel Choir Room (A18) for a brief meeting and final information before leaving for camp.  Turn in all medication at this meeting.  Eat dinner before you come.  We will leave promptly at 6:30.
  • Sunday, March 15-  We will return to the church at 2:00pm.
