Join Mt. Bethel

Have you ever wondered what the differences are between Methodism and other denominations? Have you ever wondered why Mt. Bethel’s buildings are yellow? Do you have any questions that you just don’t know who to ask?  The Starting Point New Member Class is the perfect place for you!

This introduction to our church is designed to clearly explain who & what our church is.  The New Member Class is divided into three sessions covering Mt. Bethel’s History, Spiritual Growth, Stewardship, Spiritual Enrichment & Formation and Ministries & Outreach. The New Member Class will help you see past the “Big Yellow Church” to see the small, warm & nurturing place that Mt. Bethel is.

Whether you’re new to Mt. Bethel or have been visiting a while, we want you to feel connected.
Once a month, we offer “The Starting Point;” a short, informal gathering designed to help you get connected.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to take the New Member Class before joining?
No. You are welcome to become a member of Mt. Bethel when you (and your family) are ready. We ask that you commit to taking the class.

Q: What if at the end of the class I don’t know if I want to become a member yet?
That’s fine, you can make that choice. This is a personal decision between you and God. We suggest you give this prayerful consideration.

Yes. We recognize Baptism from all other Christian denominations.

Q: How do I register for the New Member Class?
