National Day of Prayer 2026

2026 Theme: Glorify God Among the Nations - Seeking Him In All Generations

Scripture: "Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples." (1 Chronicles 16:24 NASB)

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.

On May 7, 2026, this year's National Day of Prayer, there are several ways you can participate:

  1. The chapel will be open from 7am until 6pm. Come at any time throughout the day, and invite your friends and neighbors to pray over the people of our Nation. Prayer prompts will be available to assist you in praying for our leaders, both locally and nationally.
  2. Guided Prayer Walks will occur at the top of each hour beginning at 7am and continuing until the last walk which begins at 1pm. There will be a leader assigned to each walk with golf cart rides available for those with ambulatory issues. Please arrive a few minutes early in the courtyard in front of the chapel and the Welcome Center to join a group.
  3. Non-guided Prayer Walks will begin at 2pm and continue until the last walk which begins at 5pm. Golf cart assistance will not be available during this time period.
  4. If you are unable to participate on-site at the church, we encourage you to take a moment wherever you are to pray for our nation.
