Baptism is a sign that you have been saved and is one of the most joyful steps of faith you can take. It is an outward declaration of an inward reality. Think of it like a wedding ring. The ring does not make you married, but it is a visible, public sign that something has already happened — a covenant has been made; a commitment is in force. In the same way, baptism is a beautiful declaration that you belong to Jesus. When you step into the water, you are not just making a statement to God. You are making a statement to the church — and the church is making a commitment to walk with you. .

Remembrance of Baptism is a renewal of the covenant that was made with God at your first baptism. When you step into the water to remember your baptism, you are re-affirming everything your baptism meant when you were first baptized. It means it more now than it did then. It declares you are not going back to the beginning; you are pressing deeper into what the beginning pointed you toward.

If you've placed your faith in Jesus but have never been baptized or would like to honor your first baptism with a remembrance, we invite you to register to participate in this very special evening. We'd love to celebrate what God has done in your life as you publicly declare your faith in Christ. Sign up for the last brief but required baptism class below to participate.
