FAQ

When does the choir rehearse?

Rehearsals are held every Wednesday from 6:30–8:00 PM in Room A18, located below the Sanctuary.

When does the choir sing?

The choir sings regularly at the 9:30 AM Traditional Worship Service on Sundays. Choir members should arrive for soundcheck at 8:30 AM in the choir loft.

Additional opportunities to sing include:

  • Tenebrae Service
  • Easter Services
  • Christmas Eve Services
  • Christmas Worship Celebration

Who leads the choir?

Our choir is led by Mindy Hodges, Director of Traditional Worship and Choir Director. Mindy creates a welcoming, encouraging, and fun environment for singers of all experience levels.

Do I have to audition?

No audition is required!

If you're unsure which vocal part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, or Bass) is the best fit for you, Mindy will be happy to listen and help you find your place.

Do I need to attend every rehearsal to sing on Sundays?

While attending rehearsals each week is the best way to learn the music and sing with confidence, we understand that schedules can get busy.

We use an app called Choir Genius, which allows you to practice your music at home whenever it's convenient. Whether you miss a rehearsal or simply want extra practice, Choir Genius makes it easy to stay prepared.

Do I need to register or sign up?

No registration is required—just come and join us!

If you'd like to let us know you're coming or have any questions beforehand, please contact Shannon Herring, Music Ministry Administrator, at Shannon.Herring@mtbethel.org

When is the best time to join?

Many new members join in August or January, but you're welcome to join any time during the year. We'd love to have you sing with us!
